Masaki “Yoshi” Yoshitsuka opened Buddha’s Favorite in September 2000, and it has been a neighborhood standby ever since. The current owners took over in 2019.
Start with the Beagle Roll, a California roll topped with snow crab and tempura rock shrimp, or Yoshi’s Spring Roll of tuna, salmon, and albacore wrapped in rice paper. There are donburi and noodles too, and a small fish market if you want to make sushi at home.
Pick the softly lit patio over the bay, the sushi bar, or the cozy dining room. Boaters can dock and dine; call ahead to check there’s space.
